A Prayer for a Friend or Relative Who Doesn't Believe in Jesus Yet

Don't Give Up Praying for Someone Who Doesn't Know Jesus
We often pray for people we love or care about who don’t know Jesus. But it can become discouraging when nothing seems to change—even after years of prayers.
Evangelist D. L. Moody is said to have carried a list of 100 people in his pocket who didn't know Christ. He prayed for them every day. Ninety-six came to faith during his lifetime. The remaining four trusted Christ after hearing the gospel at his funeral.
The Bible repeatedly encourages us to keep praying—even when we don't yet see the results we long for.
Jesus urged His followers to "always pray and not give up" in his story of the judge and the persistent widow (Luke 18:1–8). Paul likewise tells us to "pray continually" (1 Thessalonians 5:17) and not become weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9).
We mustn't measure God's work by what we can see today. Every prayer we offer places our friend or relative before the throne of a God who delights to save.
I wrote this one-page, Scripture-based prayer to help me persevere in praying for those who don't yet know Jesus. I hope it encourages you too.
